Design Philosophy

More and more companies are realizing the strength and value of using the web to manage important aspects of their business. As a result, there's an ever-greater attentiveness to strategically integrating web efforts with organizations' broader business goals and in building sites that are well designed, easy-to-use, practical, and flexible.

We can provide you with an equiped team ready to manage the strategic planning and design of your website. From intial discovery to the final launch we will act as the project manager, ensuring the end result is a successful web effort.

THE PROCESS

We have the process down to a science. From initial concept to final deliverable, we help companies realize their full potential based on sound conclusions and calculated steps. We understand the incredible importance of getting a great return on an investment and the best way to insure that is with no surprises during development.

1. Discovery
This phase is probably the most important because it really establishes how a future working relationship will unfold during the project. And that's where we strive to position ourselves as a service leader. We ask a ton of questions about your business and the role you play there. What are the primary goals for the company over the next 6 months? What three things do you want this project to accomplish for your organization? How soon? Have you thought about doing it this way? The goal is to wear your shoes long enough to provide your company with the best possible solutions inside your established budget.

2. Proposal
From this discovery process we gather all the necessary information and make recommendations on the best course of action, often supplying multiple solutions with different price points to produce the widest array of options. The more info you can give us, the more accurate our proposal becomes. It is from this document that you and your team can provide additional questions and comments until you are completely satisfied with our scope of work and flexible pricing structure. A signature from you initiates a project "kick-off" meeting.

3. Concept Development
During the project kick-off meeting, the teams from both sides are introduced to each other and a schedule of initial and future action items are established. From the resulting discussion, our creative team goes to work and feverously pounds out the concepts. Typically we then produce three unique compositions establishing the main idea and "feel" for the project. The ideas are presented to you and through any revisions are narrowed down to a final choice. From this key milestone the production team moves full-steam ahead.

4. Prototype
Once the script or copy writing has been approved for a key section, we will provide you with a proof of concept deliverable. This acts as the first step in showing key navigation and/or layouts in action. This is a key checkpoint as it allows both of us to see the concept working in a limited capacity before moving too far down an unseen path.

5. Alpha
As more content and media becomes finalized and the key concepts have been tweaked and approved by your team, the next key deliverable is the Alpha version. This represents a working example of every major screen type, feature set and navigational flow. One complete section is typically completed for this review process. A thorough discussion results as graphics and programming are adjusted along with any content revisions.

6. Beta
This phase is really where the product takes its final form. All content has been approved at this point and all the resulting production work has been implemented across the entire scope of the project. This is where a very complete testing/proofing phase begins in full force. depending on how large the project is, this phase can take less than a day or many weeks depending on the target audience and delivery medium. The project stays in Beta until it is signed off as completed by you.

7. Delivery
Delivery of the final product seems like an obvious and easy next step, but our experience has shown that this is often where the last minute details of a project are overlooked. Did the shipping company deliver the goods? Does the final product look right in all the browsers? Did the VP get to the meeting on time? Even though we may have a final signature approving all the production, we help coordinate all the intangible logistics to ensure that the superior project everyone worked so hard on gets into the right hands at the right time.

8. Feedback
After the project is complete and the dust settles, we look to you in finding ways we can improve our service and develop ways to work even more efficiently the next time. Our goal is to develop a long-lasting relationship so that you don't ever hesitate in calling us about your next project. We have found that repeat business makes each new project stronger and through our dedication many or our clients have learned the same.
